8 EASY STEPS TO FOLLOW TO ENSURE YOU ACHIEVE MAXIMUM LONGEVITY AND THE BEST RESULTS FROM YOUR NEW EXTENSIONS
- Do not wash your hair 24-48 hrs after the installation, this allows the bonds to settle and harden.
- Wash your new hair gently 2-3 times per week by tilting your head back, gently lathering from top to bottom. *TIP* Do not use shampoo or conditioner that is silicon based, containing sulfur or alcohol. Also avoid oil based products.
- Use conditioner often and hair masks once a month. This keeps hair strands soft and manageable. Avoid using directly on roots. Mids to ends only.
- Before sleeping brush your extensions and pull your hair back into a loose low ponytail or braid, this prevents your extensions from tangling while you sleep. AVOID SLEEPING WITH WET HAIR. DRY YOUR BONDS IMMEDIATELY after towel drying.
- Brush your hair twice a day or more using the wet brush or loop brush. Working gently from ends to scalp.
- Be delicate when using hot tools. Keep heated tools away from your bonds and avoid overhead dryers. Always use heat protection products on your extensions. DO NOT USE VOLUMIZING PRODUCTS as it will raise the cuticle of hair and can cause tangling at the base or your bonds.
- Avoid exposure to sand, salt water, chlorinated water, sulphur and mineral salts from hot springs. If your choose to expose your extensions to these elements I would suggest shampooing and rinsing your hair immediately after to prevent any damage.
- Most importantly make sure to keep up with your maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks. This will give you the longest life from your extensions and prevent any damage to your natural hair.
